
| Beginning in January KPEP will be hosting a series of evening and Saturday workshops that are geared towards building basic computer proficiency for Cherokee language materials development. There is no cost associated with the workshop and some meals/refreshments will be provided. These bi-weekly workshops will include: Basic computer hardware Working with images Intro to Microsoft Word Intro to Microsoft Power Point Intro to Microsoft Publisher How to format a book Participants in these workshops will receive preference for registration for our summer Materials Development Workshop. This week long work shop will utilize the skills participants have developed during the winter to make language materials for the classroom. Stipends are available for participants. All materials produced will be shared with participants! Members of our Qualla Boundary, Snowbird and Cherokee County communities will receive enrollment preference. |
