What is Master/Apprentice?  A program in which, You the Apprentice will be
paired with a fluent speaker the Master in order to gain a foundation in the
Cherokee language.
This project is for enrolled members of the EBCI who are interested in learning
the language and willing to spend their time with our Cherokee speakers and
be dedicated to the project to see it through to the end.

What are the requirements for participation?
There will be a two-day training requirement of all apprentices.
Day 1 will include curriculum development and documentation of project.
Day 2 will include meeting your Master and a pre-test in regard to language
level of apprentice.
Monthly pot-luck dinner to socialize and discuss project and utilize skills
learned within a group setting. Follow-up
Commit to 5 hours per week of working with your Master.
Have Fun and enjoy working with our elders

What do I need to do to participate?  Training for Master/Apprentice –
December 7th and 8th
All training and monthly meetings will be held at the New Kituwah Academy

Individuals who have participated in previous KPEP language projects
successfully will be considered first and other interested participants will be
considered second.
